TP-LINK Canada Announces Archer C7 Next-Gen 802.11ac Wi-Fi Router

1.75Gbps dual band router improves data transfer rates, including HD video and online gaming performance

TP-LINK®, a global provider of networking products, today announced the Archer C7 - AC1750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router - now available from major Canadian retailers. The new, advanced router has a suggested list price of $119.99, appealing to budget conscious consumers who desire value, without sacrificing essential features and performance.

The next-generation router supports the latest 802.11ac Wi-Fi technology, delivering super-fast data transfer rates of up to 1.75Gbps: three times faster than the previous wireless 802.11n standard. The Archer C7 operates over both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands to give users two dedicated networks for optimal throughput: simple tasks like sending e-mails or web browsing can be handled by the 2.4GHz band, while bandwidth intensive tasks like online gaming or HD video streaming can be processed in a fast, buffer-free mode in the less congested 5GHz band - all at the same time.

The device's built-in print server supports wireless printing from different computers by connecting a USB printer to the router. Additionally, for users preferring a wired connection, the Archer C7 boasts four gigabit LAN and one gigabit WAN ports (10x faster than standard Ethernet connections) for an ultrafast and lag-free experience. Two multi-functional USB ports can power a robust Internet network by sharing printers, flash storage, media players, and an ftp server when away on the road.

The Archer C7 comes with 3 detachable external 5dBi antennas serving the 5GHz band and 3 internal antennas for the 2.4GHz band: this provides users with stronger wireless coverage and reliability, across greater distances from anywhere in a large home or office.
