QAD Shares New Automotive Standards from AIAG/Odette at Explore 2014 Customer Conference

QAD Inc. (NASDAQ:QADA) (NASDAQ:QADB), a leading provider of enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions and services for global manufacturers, today announced that the fourth version of the AIAG/Odette Materials Management Operations Guideline/Logistics Evaluation (MMOG/LE), a tool to improve the performance for the global automotive supply chain, has been published. Automotive suppliers are encouraged to download and review the new version at www.aiag.org or www.odette.org.

The MMOG/LE tool enables organizations in the global automotive supply chain to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of its supply chain capability and performance. Members of the MMOG/LE Global Workgroup include the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG), Odette, OEMs, suppliers and service providers such as QAD. This committee developed the updated standards that are now available.

QAD Automotive Director Terry Onica briefed QAD customers on the latest revision at QAD Customer Conference Explore in New Orleans. As a MMOG/LE Workgroup member, Onica was able to provide insight on the changes as well as provide consultation on the steps automotive organizations should take to implement the new version and meet global customer requirements for OEMs such as Ford, Chrysler, General Motors, and others in 2014 and beyond.

“The new standards will start to be required by OEMs as early as August 2014, which makes it imperative that automotive suppliers review the newest guidelines with Version 4 and begin the planning process to integrate these new standards into their materials management processes,” stated Dan Howe, AIAG GM management loan.
