Connor De Phillippi off to Rolling Start as Jorg Gray's New Ambassador

Champion Racecar Driver and Luxury Watch Company Meet in the Winner's Circle

LOS ANGELES, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/08/14 -- Time is of the essence -- especially for a racecar driver or a watch company. Combine the premier players from both worlds, and you've built a winning team. Champion American racer, Connor De Phillippi, has joined forces with Jorg Gray as the brand's new ambassador and is revving his engines at the starting gate for this prestigious position. De Phillippi, 2013 Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland Rookie of the Year, makes an excellent teammate for the illustrious California-based watch company. The Jorg Gray watch collection is considered the keystone of American watch design and is revered for its unique timepieces. A leading global brand, Jorg Gray constructs watches that are appreciated for their unique design and outstanding resilience. As De Phillippi's laid-back, effortless style aligns perfectly with the Jorg Gray brand, the partnership will no doubt lead to a victory lap for both.

De Phillippi was born and raised in San Clemente, Calif. close to Jorg Gray's California-based headquarters, and currently drives professionally for the Porsche Motorsport Junior Programme behind the wheel of a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car. He is the only American in the Porsche Motorsport Junior Programme and already has a slew of championships under his belt. De Phillippi will "define his time" as he battles for supremacy on the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland 2014 and various race events of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup starting in May. Both De Phillippi and Jorg Gray are Americans surpassing the strongest competitors in Europe -- on their own turf.

"I wear a Jorg Gray watch every day," says De Phillippi, who owns a number of Jorg Gray watches from a variety of their collections, including Classic and Sports. "The JG8300-24 chronograph usually comes with me to the track because I just really like the style, look and comfort."

Connor De Phillippi generously gives back to his community and is heavily involved with the Orange County-based non-profit, Miracles For Kids.
