WINDSOR, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 05/09/14 -- The province-wide campaign to stop Conservative Leader Tim Hudak and his attack on workers and the labour movement rolls into Windsor 6 p.m., Tues., May 13, for an urgent and large all-union meeting. With only weeks left to mobilize, Ontario's labour movement is organizing for the fight of its life; it is warning that Hudak's claim that he has shelved his anti-worker schemes is a dishonest tactical maneuver designed to mislead.
"Mr. Hudak's entire platform is centred on dismantling the labour movement to clear the way for a low-wage economy," said OFL President Sid Ryan. "He isn't fooling anyone. No matter how he tries to massage his message, Tim Hudak is still committed to the same extremist policies that would divide our workplaces, weaken workers' voices and drive down wages for everyone."
The OFL and regional labour councils have worked in tandem to forge the strongest fight-back possible. So far, meetings have been held in 14 cities and have trained and activated thousands of workers to educate their colleagues, families and neighbours about Hudak's hidden agenda. The campaign launched in Durham with more than 300 workers and meetings continue to be packed.
A media conference will take place prior to the meeting, which is closed to reporters. Photo opportunities and interviews can be arranged in advance.
What: Media Conference in advance of the Windsor and District Labour Council Regional Meeting to Stop Tim Hudak When: 5:30 p.m., May 13, 2014 Where: Caboto Hall, 2175 Parent Avenue. Windsor Details: For more information about the campaign, visit: www.rightsatwork.ca
"Hudak wants to force workers in the Windsor region to compete with workers in low-wage jurisdictions in a race to the bottom. He is determined to eliminate the workplace rights that stand in the way of his plan," said Windsor and District Labour Council President Chris Taylor.
"We are going to bring the message about Hudak to every union member and especially members who have voted for the Conservatives in the past to say 'not this time, Mr. Hudak,' said Taylor. "We will be telling our co-workers, friends and neighbours exactly what a Hudak government has in store. It's ugly and it's the biggest threat we have faced in years."

I wanted to gather all of my Internet of Things (IOT) blogs into a single blog (that I could later use with my University of San Francisco (USF) Big Data “MBA” course). However as I started to pull these blogs together, I realized that my IOT discussion lacked a vision; it lacked an end point towards which an organization could drive their IOT envisioning, proof of value, app dev, data engineering and data science efforts. And I think that the IOT end point is really quite simple…
