Harbourside Place Team Sponsors Florida's First Habitat for Humanity Blitz Build

NORTH PALM BEACH, FL--(Marketwired - May 09, 2014) - Allied Capital & Development of South Florida and Moss Construction Management are building more than Jupiter's Downtown. The team that is developing Harbourside Place has partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County to finish the last two homes of Kennedy Estates II, a 19-home development located on the south side of Jupiter Gardens Boulevard. Together, the three entities will host a Blitz Build, raising the two homes in 10 days. The build will begin Monday, May 12, 2014.

Kennedy Estates II is the sequel to the single-family housing development Kennedy Estates, located on the north side of Jupiter Gardens Boulevard. Consisting of 27 homes, the original development was finished March 2011 and is credited with helping revitalize the surrounding area by bringing in families dedicated to improving their living situations. Kennedy Estates II expects to further enliven the area, and upon completion will be home to approximately 38 adults and 47 children.

"Allied Capital & Development of South Florida takes pride in its dedication to enhancing the communities in which it builds," explains Nicholas Mastroianni III, Vice President of Allied Capital and Development. "Just as we build for the success of South Florida businesses, we strive to help Jupiter residents reach their dreams of home ownership."

Mastroianni continues, "Moss Construction Management shares our vision of expanding South Florida's horizons. The company has been charitable enough to donate, and source donations for supplies as well as provide manpower toward the completion of these two homes. We look forward to finishing the neighborhood's final two sites together, during Florida's first Blitz Build."

The Blitz Build will kick off on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 7:00 am. The team of builders will work 12-hour days in efforts to raise the homes in 10 days. By 8:30 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2014, the Habitat for Humanity Dedication Ceremony will take place, presenting finished and move-in ready homes to their new owners.
