LONG BEACH, CA--(Marketwired - May 13, 2014) - LBS Financial Credit Union launched a multimedia ad campaign featuring its new spokesperson and brand mascot-George Washington. Created in partnership with ETA Advertising, "The Declaration of Savings" campaign communicates the credit unions' member benefits and financial integrity through a series of artistically compelling ads with a playful message.
The agency commissioned Chicago-based oil painter and digital illustrator, Aaron Miller to create the realistic aesthetic that mirrors historical depictions of America's first president.
Aligning with the credit unions core mission of "bringing value to the neighborhood," the campaign features a classically illustrated George Washington engaging in a variety of modern-day financial scenarios, all while enjoying LBS Financial's exclusive member benefits.
"At the heart of the campaign is the idea that LBS Financial is an institution of integrity and who better to demonstrate this than a man who captures the very essence of honesty and leadership," said Cindy Allen, President of ETA Advertising.
In addition to traditional outdoor, online and print media, the campaign released it's first YouTube video today to bolster social media presence. The three-part animated puppet show will roll out a new video each week on LBS Financial's website and Facebook page.
"The goal was to create a memorable campaign that presents LBS Financial Credit Union as a friendly banking institution that people can trust. We wanted to break through the bank advertising clutter and deliver work that connects with potential new customers," said Mike Frey, Creative Director of ETA Advertising.
LBS Financial was chartered in 1935 as Long Beach School District Employees Federal Credit Union.
