San Diego Aviators Individual Match Tickets on Sale Tomorrow

July 7th Home Opener to Feature Andy Roddick, With Billie Jean King Tribute and Concert by Disney Star Drew Seeley to Follow

SAN DIEGO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/13/14 -- The San Diego Aviators of Mylan World TeamTennis will put their individual match tickets on sale to the general public tomorrow, May 14, 10 a.m. PDT. With seven home matches planned for the Valley View Casino Center (formerly the San Diego Sports Arena) between July 7-27, the Aviators season will be fast-paced and competitive as they host some of the top tennis players in the world.

The Aviators season opens on Monday, July 7 against the Austin Aces featuring former world No. 1 player, Andy Roddick. Known for his 140+ mph serves and booming forehands, Roddick will be joined by Vera Zvonareva, Eva Hrdinova and Treat Huey.

Following the Roddick opener, the Aviators will host Mylan WTT co-founder Billie Jean King, and face the Philadelphia Freedoms, July 8. As part of the evening, the Aviators will honor Ms. King with a tribute to San Diego's rich tennis history and includes an expected appearance by the famous San Diego Chicken.

On July 10, the Aviators take on the Texas Wild, led by Alex Bogomolov Jr., Darija Jurak, Anabel Medina Garrigues and Aisam Qureshi; and then the Boston Lobsters on July 12, led by Eric Butorac, Sharon Fichman, Rik De Voest and Megan Moulton-Levy. The July 12 match will have a post-match musical extravaganza as the tennis court will be transformed into a concert stage for Disney superstar singer and actor, Drew Steeley.

The second half of the season will feature matches against the Springfield Lasers, Texas and Austin before the playoffs begin.

The Aviators are led by coach Dave Macpherson; four-time Grand Slam Champion, Daniela Hantuchova; world No. 9 ranked WTA doubles player, Kveta Peschke; ATP doubles No. 30, Raven Klaasen; and ATP singles No. 78, Somdev Devvarman. In the second half of the home season, one of the greatest doubles team in the history of tennis and current world No. 1s, Mike and Bob Bryan, will join the team for matches on July 20, 22 and 23.

"Each home match will provide tennis fans with some very exciting tennis, but most importantly the chance to get close to the players through post-match autograph sessions for children 16 years old and younger," said Russell Geyser, team owner. "In addition to the competitive tennis, interaction with players and opportunities to participate in tennis clinics, contests and promotions is what Mylan WTT is all about," concluded Geyser.

The conference championship is scheduled for Thursday, July 24, and concludes with the Mylan WTT Finals, on Sunday, July 27 on the home court of the Western Conference Champion.

All Aviators home matches will begin at 7 p.m. other than Saturday, July 12, which will begin at 6 p.m. due to the post-event concert; and Sunday, July 20, which will begin at 5 p.m.
