Ascom Introduces Award Winning Integrated On-Site Communications for Senior Living Facilities in North America

Ascom Wireless Solutions, a global leader in mission-critical communications systems, announces availability for its award-winning teleCARE IP emergency call systems to senior living facilities in the United States and Canada.

Ascom’s teleCARE IP systems are the most flexible and comprehensive on-site communications solutions available for senior living facilities. The solution’s state-of-the-art technology is among the first in emergency call systems to comply with the new UL 2560 standard. Ascom’s teleCARE IP continues to build upon its successful launch in the European market, and has twice received the prestigious Red Dot design award for its Resident Handset and Wireless Alarm Transceiver product design.

“Our goal is to help senior living facilities reassure residents whenever they need assistance by providing reliable communication and visual confirmation that their request has been received,” says Jan Ringenier, Product Manager at Ascom.

Proven in facilities around the world, teleCARE IP delivers unmatched quality, reliability and ease of installation. This state of the art solution is also well-equipped to meet the requirements for large and small senior living establishments since the system is highly scalable and configurable.

Additionally, teleCARE IP provides an optional voice module for immediate communication between residents and staff. Increased safety is made possible by the integrated positioning technology built into the mobile devices worn by residents and staff. Also, the teleCARE IP system gives senior living providers the capability of offering residents a choice of either a wireless pendant or wrist alarm transceiver. Other resident choices that can be made available include several remote control styled handsets ranging from the most simplistic design to one that provides advanced features such as room lighting, window shade, additional radio/TV controls, flashlight, and more.

“Ascom’s complete communication solution, including emergency call systems, Unite Messaging Suite and wireless voice systems, helps minimize interoperability risks and ensures end-to-end functionality, all from a single manufacturer. This allows caregivers to focus on what they do best, caring for residents, while utilizing an intuitive and dependable clinical communication solution“, says Sai Kolluri, Director Global Marketing, Patient Systems at Ascom.

Distribution is provided by Ascom’s Strategic Partner channel which consists of highly trained resellers to ensure installation consistency and responsive support and service.

The teleCARE IP emergency call system will be displayed at Ascom’s Booth #1219 at the ALFA show which runs from May 19-22, 2014 in Phoenix, AZ

Are a container and a virtual machine fundamentally the same or different? And how? Is one techn...
DevOps is often described as a combination of technology and culture. Without both, DevOps isn't complete. However, applying the culture to outdated technology is a recipe for disaster; as response times grow and connections between teams are delayed by technology, the culture will die. A Nutanix Enterprise Cloud has many benefits that provide the needed base for a true DevOps paradigm.
