CALGARY, ALBERTA and LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwired) -- 05/14/14 -- Shelley Kuipers, Chaordix® Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), today announced the acquisition of Colorado-based crowdsourcing technology provider Napkin Labs. Chaordix provides an enterprise marketing technology platform and applications - combining crowdsourcing processes with social sciences practices - for predictive brand and product innovation communities.
"Many of the brands we work with are looking to expand and deepen their engagement with the fan bases they've cultivated in social channels like Facebook," said Shelley. "That's why we're so excited about the Napkin Labs technology. We'll use it to directly connect our Crowd Intelligence(TM) communities with the social channel to drive crowd-powered innovation across organizations. It's a new level of sophistication for Chaordix and a game changer for our clients."
Co-founded in 2009 by CEO Riley Gibson and COO Warren Ng, Napkin Labs' suite of clients includes brands like Nike, Microsoft, Sony, Domino's Pizza, The North Face and Whole Foods Market. Over its five year lifespan, the company has driven innovative changes in the way organizations access their most valuable customers, particularly with the 2011 launch of OpenLab, a robust online collaboration and ideation software solution.
"As the crowdsourcing space evolved over the last five years, we became increasingly aware of the innovative work Chaordix was doing and the complementary nature of our solutions," said Riley. "And having been up to their headquarters in Calgary, I'm particularly enthusiastic about recommending Shelley and her incredible team to our clients."
As part of the acquisition agreement, Chaordix will continue to offer the Napkin Labs solution as a separate product from Crowd Intelligence(TM) while the two are integrated into a single solution. Effective immediately, existing Chaordix clients will also be able to leverage the Napkin Labs technology to enhance their existing communities.
The Napkin Labs acquisition is the latest in an increasingly long line of Chaordix expansions over the last twelve months, and follows on the heels of four C-level appointments and the opening of the company's London, UK office.
Chaordix® is the global standard in crowdsourced brand and product innovation. Chaordix uses the power of crowdsourcing to help the world's leading companies and organizations gain sustained community engagement and predictive intelligence. Our Crowd Intelligence(TM) community solutions are helping a global clientele including LEGO, P&G, IBM, FutureBrand, KPMG, American Airlines, Virgin and Reckitt Benckiser leverage our unique crowdsourcing technology and methodology to drive team insights programs, b2b forums, brand development initiatives, sustainability challenges, and product innovation communities.
