African telecoms operator, Valleypoint Telecoms, has announced a contract with Avanti Communications to extend broadband coverage across Western Kenya. Deployed via Avanti’s HYLAS 2 satellite, the new service will target consumer and enterprise customers in the region over a multi-year period.
Joseph Weke, Chief Technical Officer at Valleypoint Telecoms, commented: “We are pleased to extend our coverage with Avanti - a trusted operator with significant technical and deployment experience in Africa. We have co-created a service that will bring real competitive advantage to Kenyan customers.”
