Technology Asset Management Inc. Adds New IT Asset Management (ITAM) Courses and Certification to Its Education Offerings

Sherry Irwin, CEO and President, is pleased to announce that Technology Asset Management (TAM) Inc. is now an Accredited Training Organization (ATO) for courses developed by IAITAM (International Association of IT Asset Managers).

As an ATO, TAM Inc. currently offers two of IAITAM’s world-renowned courses and optional certifications:

Certified Software Asset
Manager (CSAM)

    Provides a foundation for lifecycle management of software assets, from the task level up the project level, as well as knowledge of the ever-changing variables (licensing, legislation, organizational challenges) within the field.
 

Certified Hardware Asset
Manager (CHAMP)

As with CSAM, provides a focus from the task level up to the project level on everything hardware related, for the entire hardware asset lifecycle from processes to legislation.
 

As a 30-year veteran in IT asset management (ITAM), Sherry notes that “The cost and complexity of information technology has increased exponentially, including new technologies and delivery models. ITAM, including software asset management (SAM), needs to be a core competency in every organization; it is no longer optional.”

The courses will be of value to individuals in organizations committed to proactive management of their IT asset portfolios, to reduce related costs and risks and maximize return from those investments.

Instructor-led public classroom and online formats are available for each of the two-day courses.

As announced in October, 2013, IAITAM selected APMG-International to accredit training organizations to deliver the IAITAM courseware. This partnership will allow wide spread adoption of the IAITAM courseware and meet the growing demand for IT asset management training.
