WESTBOROUGH, MA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/15/14 -- C2C, a leading provider of email archiving and information management solutions, today announced that Chemung County has adopted C2C's ArchiveOne to achieve efficient email management and compliance. Using ArchiveOne, the county is able to easily assure adherence to New York's Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) while reducing the risk of data loss.
Chemung County, a growing county in the southwestern part of New York State along the Pennsylvania border, serves an area of 411 square miles and more than 88,000 residents. With hundreds of email boxes supporting numerous departments, Chemung County needed a solution that would simplify its email retention processes. They also wanted to eliminate problematic PST files, which were clogging user systems and creating hours of support work for IT staff members to troubleshoot frequent corruption issues. Finally, they needed to streamline how they handled compliance and FOIA requests.
"We need to conserve our IT staff time as much as possible," said Steve Wilber, Deputy Director of Information Technology for Chemung County. "ArchiveOne helped us achieve that. Not only was it easy to install, it's a breeze to manage and enables our employees to search and recover their own archived content, so we don't have to. In addition, we have now reduced the hours we used to spend resolving PST file issues. ArchiveOne has really enabled us to meet our email management goals."
ArchiveOne has also enabled Chemung County to comply with New York's Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) and assures the county that any information can be quickly and easily traced and found for true information accessibility and transparency.
