2nd & Charles Opens New Store in Beaumont, Texas

Beaumont residents will now enjoy their own 2nd & Charles store opening today at the former Books-A-Million location in Parkdale Mall beside Dillards. Those who love to read, listen to music (on vinyl or CD), play games, or watch movies will find themselves in a veritable wonderland.

2nd & Charles specializes in buying and selling used books, audio books, CDs, DVDs and Blu-Ray, video games, game systems, vinyl records, comic books, iPods and iPads, eReaders, and more. Not only does the store sell these used goods, but they also purchase them from customers. 2nd & Charles also offers brand new merchandise as well.

The new 2nd & Charles in Beaumont will give cash or store credit for gently used items that they buy and sell based on the product’s condition, current inventory, and popularity.

“We will be offering something new and exciting to the Beaumont community; those who have never visited a 2nd & Charles are in for an adventure,” said Jeff Skipper, Vice President of Marketing. “Customers are going to be surprised how amazing this store is. We’ll have over 300,000 items ranging from carefully culled books, music, movies, and other amazing treasures… All just begging to be explored.”

Customers wishing to sell their own used items can check them in upon entering the store. While their merchandise is processed, customers can shop the more than 3 miles of shelf space in the store. Once their order is complete, customers can choose to redeem their items for cash or store credit.

The store also has its own twist on deep discounting, too. Beyond the low price tags, 2nd & Charles also has sale bins where items will be priced at $1, $2 or $3. Customers will even find bins where books are entirely free.

2nd & Charles’ inventory, which will be replenished daily, is constantly evolving with newly bought back items. "Shopping at 2nd & Charles is all about hunting for personal treasures," Skipper adds. "Every day is a surprise because new items and rare finds are always appearing." Before the newest arrivals are shelved, customers can browse the “Just Bought Back” carts for the hottest and most recently purchased items.
