Compass-EOS, the icPhotonics™ networking pioneer, today announced that it has won two prestigious awards. Compass-EOS won the Red Herring Top 100 North America Award, and Compass-EOS Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Matt Bross was honored with the IEEE 2014 Chairman’s Award presented by the IEEE Technical Committee on Communications Quality and Reliability (CQR).
Red Herring Top 100 Companies North America Award
As a Red Herring Top 100 North America winner, Compass-EOS has been chosen as one of the top 100 private companies in the North America region. Red Herring’s editorial team analyzed hundreds of cutting-edge companies and technologies and on May 16th it selected Compass-EOS as one of the companies positioned to grow at an explosive rate.

IEEE CQR Chairman’s Award
Mr. Bross received the IEEE CQR Chairman’s award at a ceremony on May 14th, where he was honored for his sustained global leadership in technological transformations, service to others of all levels through frank communication and personal coaching, and integrity in complex international business matters consistent with that of a role model.
Established in 2004, The IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) Technical Committee on Communications Quality and Reliability recognizes individuals who have made sustained contributions in the fields of quality, reliability and security of communications services, networks or systems, and have demonstrated the core values of a professional society and integrity consistent with that of a role model.
Other recipients of the IEEE honor included Bernard L. Malone of Windstream Communications, communications consultant Stuart Goldman, and Kevin J. Krantz of Ericsson.
