Vigilent®, the leader in dynamic cooling management® systems for mission critical facilities, announced today that it won the 2014 TiE50 “Top Startup” award. Vigilent was given the prestigious award for the third time in three years on Saturday during a ceremony at TiEcon 2014, the world’s largest conference for entrepreneurs, in Santa Clara, California.
“We are incredibly humbled that TiE has recognized Vigilent as a strong, pioneering company for three consecutive years now,” said Vigilent CEO Dave Hudson. “Our goal to reduce energy costs and protect uptime at data centers and telecommunication facilities requires us to grow and innovate in equal measure, so it is rewarding to get feedback that experts in the industry continue to confirm we’re on the right track.”
The TiE50 program screened more than 2,800 companies from 27 countries before selecting 50 exceptional companies as winners based on business model, IP value, and leadership team.
“In the six short years since inception, the TiE50 program has become a global brand that attracts thousands of companies worldwide for this recognition,” said Venktesh Shukla, president of TiE, Silicon Valley. “It is unique in terms of rigor of selection and the broad scope of companies that it reviews for this award and is one of TiE Silicon Valley’s most successful programs.”
