Sideband Networks Named Winner of 2014 TiE50 Awards Program

Sideband Networks (www.sidebandnetworks.com) today announced it has been selected as a winner of the prestigious 2014 TiE50 Awards Program. Winners were announced on Friday, May 16th at the organization’s annual entrepreneurial conference, TiEcon. Returning for the sixth year in a row, this year’s TiE50 was open to all technology companies worldwide. Sideband Networks received the award after showcasing the industry’s first solution that correlates together live streaming data, historical (logged) data and temporal patterns for the first time to generate a new perspective on network intelligence.

“It is an honor to be a TiE50 award winner for our innovative solution that gives users a complete understanding of their networks,” said Zane Taylor, CEO, Sideband Networks. “We are proud to be solving a problem that organizations have faced for decades and celebrate alongside all of this year’s TiE50 award winners.”

More than 2800 companies from 27 countries were screened as part of the TiE50 selection process. The top 100 finalists showcased at TiEcon and the TiE50 award winners were chosen based on those presentations. The TiE50 track record since its inception in May 2009 shows that 94% of the winners and finalists have been funded, attracting billions in investments. Many of these companies have been acquired, merged or gone public.

“In the six short years since inception, the TiE50 program has become a global brand that attracts thousands of companies worldwide for this recognition,” said Venktesh Shukla, president of TiE, Silicon Valley. “It is unique in terms of rigor of selection and the broad scope of companies that it reviews for this award and is one of TiE Silicon Valley’s most successful programs. It is also worth mentioning that this is the only awards recognition in technology to be held by a large global non-profit organization.”

Sideband’s TiE50 award is the latest recognition for the emerging startup. The company has been lauded in the press with CRN calling Sideband Networks one of the “10 Coolest Networking Startups of 2013,” while Enterprise Networking Planet named Sideband Networks one of “Five Networking Startups to Watch in 2014.” Sideband Networks has also been recognized for its solution in several other publications including Network World, Network Computing and Data Informed.
