DLNA® Hosts Member Event in Tokyo to Share Future Roadmap and Latest Developments

WHY:

DLNA is hosting a private event for members based in Japan, where interest is high among manufacturers wanting to support the roll-out of products certified to the organization’s recently announced CVP-2 Guidelines. The Guidelines are the first from DLNA to be made available to the public for free download. Users of CVP-2 Certified products will be able to stream service providers’ pay TV, video on demand and live TV content throughout the home with the full subscriber experience. Introductory remarks will be delivered by an executive from long-time supporter Sony Corporation, and will be followed by presentations from executives at AwoX, Broadcom, DTLA and Intel. Presenters will share perspectives on CVP-2 content protection technology and provide an update on plans to extend the DLNA Guidelines to include devices sourcing content from the cloud, and sharing interactive content between primary and secondary screens. ARM, AwoX, Broadcom and Sony will also be conducting technology demonstrations.
