From Rapid, Remote Installs to On-going Daily Support, iCore Networks’ Robust Unified Communications Services Gets It Done for Dynamic, Fast Growing Pennrose

iCore Networks, the award-winning technology leader in cloud computing, Applications on Demand, and one of the original providers of cloud-based hosted application services, announces today the impact their cloud-based unified communications service has had on their client, Pennrose, a large-scale and premier multifamily development and residential property management company, headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Prior to its relationship with iCore, Pennrose, a fast growing company with nearly 400 employees, was finding it difficult to manage multiple providers, phone equipment, and network set ups at each of their 160+ locations. They needed a dependable communications solution to effectively maintain their multi-location and multi-property network infrastructure, while reducing costs and providing on-going support, especially when it came to maintaining copper phone lines.

iCore was able to provide Pennrose with a customized and unified solution that drastically simplified their equipment, vendor maintenance requirements, and cost. As the single telecommunications provider for Pennrose, iCore consolidated and unified all of the company’s locations, created a streamlined approach to transitions, and for development of new locations. With little flexibility for downtime, iCore worked with Pennrose to quickly install 90 phones in under two hours at their Property Support Center location, which supports 90 employees. iCore’s Project Management team has remained ever-vigilant in this multi-location install, as Pennrose has continued to rapidly expand, with new sites needed each and every month. The iCore team was able to install new sites in less than a week, and porting over existing sites takes a maximum period of two weeks.

This proactive, lightning-fast turnaround capability, coupled with the high-quality, centralized service, and responsive customer approach is what has continually positioned iCore as a trusted partner for Pennrose.

“We vetted out several different vendors. iCore was actually the last provider to provide an estimate. Other vendors didn’t really seem to be knowledgeable and comfortable with the dynamics of the real estate development and property management business. The solutions that had been presented to us were focused on the install and lacked consistent support. We really needed a provider that was capable of being part of the full and on-going development process,” John DeSantis, IT Director, Pennrose commented. “We never wait for iCore to turn around a new site; normally you have to wait for the provider. In our business, we have to be dynamic. New sites can start off in a development phase, go from a trailer to a model home, and six months later can move to a permanent property. iCore’s been helpful in being onboard and part of our team through the entire process and able to change, as we change. From my research, and what I’ve known, there are not many businesses that understand us, but iCore has been spot on.”

In addition to Pennrose’s needs for quick and consistent installations and deployments, there was a need to maintain a significant amount of copper phone lines included in the cost. Pennrose was previously dealing with long support calls that could easily have been handled remotely. Now, with iCore, Pennrose can remotely resolve issues through iCore’s data center or portal. iCore has also eliminated Pennrose’s maintenance commitment time to maintain those phone lines by managing the lines remotely and efficiently on their end.

“Pennrose has benefitted from the convenience of connecting an iCore phone at any of our properties or at home without any additional configuration or static IP information and have the same consistent quality of service. Another added benefit is not only iCore’s successful history and experience working with large property management and real estate development companies, but the fact that their solution is cloud-based and gives us the flexibility we need as we grow to manage costs, keep our technology assets up-to-date and fully support our business,” DeSantis concluded.

“We are thrilled to deepen our relationship with Pennrose,” stated iCore’s Chairman and CEO, Stephen G. Canton. “Our CloudFUZNTM unified communications solutions are an ideal fit for the development and property management industry, and as a result, we have delivered measurable and significant return to Pennrose as they have grown and expanded to reach new heights. Their prior challenges presented a perfect opportunity for us to ‘jump in’ and add value, and we are excited to help them achieve their future business goals going forward.”

IoT is rapidly becoming mainstream as more and more investments are made into the platforms and technology.
