SynapSense, a Panduit Company, the leading provider of wireless monitoring and cooling control solutions and CyrusOne, who operates state-of-the-art enterprise data centers for the largest companies in the world today announced the application of SynapSense Environmental Monitoring and Active Control™ across their data center footprint for enhanced data center performance. Deployment of the technology has proven to enhance operational visibility and strengthen customer Service Level Agreement (SLA) management.
"SynapSense understands data center operations and the requirements of the mission critical business of colocation,” said Kevin Timmons, chief technology officer at CyrusOne. “Their monitoring and cooling control technology has improved operational efficiency and provided our customers visibility to our exceptional SLA performance. CyrusOne customers experience top-tier availability with 100% uptime and now with SynapSense we have the necessary metrics and reporting to build even more confidence with our growing list of world class customers.”
“CyrusOne is focused on providing their customers the latest data center technologies and services to realize exceptional operational efficiencies and availability,” said Bart Tichelman, vice president of SynapSense, a Panduit company. “We are proud to support these important initiatives and will continue to partner to deliver innovative solutions to improve visibility, resiliency and energy savings for CyrusOne.”
The deployment of the SynapSense Wireless Monitoring and Cooling Control solution is completed in three phases. Once the Wireless Environmental Monitoring is deployed in phase 1, SynapSense Professional Services together with the CyrusOne team use SynapSense advanced tools and metrics to optimize data center cooling and “balance” the airflow. In phase 3, SynapSense Active Control™ automatically maintains efficient and cost effective operating conditions by dynamically matching cooling to the varying equipment loads and conditions in the data center. As a result, operational reliability is enhanced while energy savings are maximized.
