The 11th Annual MIT Sloan CIO Symposium today announced that Thaddeus Arroyo, Chief Information Officer of AT&T Services, Inc. (NYSE: T), is the recipient of the prestigious MIT Sloan CIO Symposium 2014 CIO Leadership Award.
The MIT Sloan CIO Leadership Award honors Chief Information Officers (CIOs) who lead their organizations to deliver business value and innovative use of IT in exceptional ways.

Mr. Arroyo is responsible for the company’s information technology and oversees systems supporting all AT&T business segments and global compute and storage services. In addition to directing the company’s internal information technology organization and internal and external customer-hosting data centers, he is responsible for AT&T’s digital properties and capabilities across all business segments. Arroyo has successfully advanced AT&T’s IT transformation strategy from integration, rationalization, and capabilities development to an innovation-fueled organization focused on transforming business processes and market offerings in ways that create new value and velocity for AT&T’s business, customers, and partners.

Dr. George Westerman, MIT Sloan, presented the award to Arroyo at the pre-Symposium dinner at the Smith & Wollensky on May 20th. Other finalists for the honor included Dr. Dieter Habanof Daimler Trucks North America, Adriana Kariboutis of Dell, Stephen Neff of Fidelity Investments, and Rebecca Rhoads of Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN).

In his General Session at DevOps Summit, Asaf Yigal, Co-Founder & VP of Product at Logz.io, will explore the value of Kibana 4 for log analysis and will give a real live, hands-on tutorial on how to set up Kibana 4 and get the most out of Apache log files.
