Fifteenth Annual eHealthcare Leadership Awards Features 14 Categories to Recognize Outstanding Websites and Digital Communications

The eHealthcare Leadership Awards program, which drew nearly 1,200 entries last year, recognizes the best websites and digital communications of healthcare organizations, online companies, pharmaceutical/medical equipment firms, corporate suppliers, and business improvement initiatives. The program is presented by Health Care Communications, publisher of eHealthcare Strategy & Trends and Strategic Health Care Marketing.

“The demands of healthcare reform and an increasingly competitive industry landscape have accelerated digital innovation,” says Mark Gothberg, Awards chairman and editor of eHealthcare Strategy & Trends. “Organizations know that their websites, social media channels, and mobile applications are vital tools for engaging current and prospective customers and improving quality and operational efficiency.”

The 2014 program features a new award category – Best Newsroom. The other 13 categories are Best Site Design, Best Health/Healthcare Content, Best Interactive, Best Mobile Communications, Best Social Networking, Best Rich Media, Best Patient Access and Convenience, Best Care/Disease Management, Best Doctor Directory, Best Overall Internet Site, Best Intranet, Best Marketing Campaign, and eHealth Organizational Commitment.

Organizations enter under one of 17 classifications so that they compete only against others of comparable type, size, and resources. Platinum, gold, silver, and distinction awards may be given in every classification for each award category. An independent panel of individuals familiar with healthcare and the Internet evaluates entries.

Winners will be honored during the 18th Annual Healthcare Internet Conference, November 3 – 5, in Scottsdale, AZ.
