DETROIT, MI -- (Marketwired) -- 05/21/14 -- Serta, the #1 mattress company in the United States, launched a new national advertising campaign today, created by the brand's lead creative agency Doner. The advertising campaign, which is brought to life in three television commercials and online channels, introduces the new iComfort Sleep System by Serta and celebrates how the brand delivers comfort no matter the situation. The launch commercials, titled "Alpaca," "Champ," and "Testing" will run nationally, and can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/user/MattressSerta.
"As iComfort relaunches with all new products, we felt this was the time to move from simply communicating product features and benefits to establishing a brand promise as a means for further distinguishing ourselves in the category," said Andrew Gross, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Serta International. "In addition, we saw the opportunity to ladder to our overall Serta brand benefit of comfort and introduce the sense of humor that's historically been part of the brand's advertising, as exemplified by our famous Counting Sheep campaign."
The new television commercials introduce a man with a variety of misguided ideas and his surprisingly supportive wife, who is always relaxing on their new iComfort mattress. In each spot, he enters the couple's bedroom and announces his latest endeavor -- and it's always something that would make most significant others cringe. Yet, she is so comfortable on the iComfort mattress that she's equally comfortable with her husband's latest plan and responds to him with "I'm comfortable with that."
"Serta's new campaign brings entertainment to an otherwise predictable category," said Rob Strasberg, Co-CEO/Chief Creative Officer of Doner. "Through consumer insights, we were able to articulate the brand's vision for the new iComfort in a fun, engaging manner that will resonate with its customers. This campaign will further strengthen Serta's position as the category leader, separating the brand from its competitors and driving overall business results."
Serta and its licensees together are the #1 mattress manufacturers in the United States. Serta's product portfolio includes the Perfect Sleeper®, which is the Only Official Mattress of the National Sleep Foundation, and the iComfort® Sleep System, both named Consumers Digest Best Buys. With SaaS use rampant across organizations, how can IT departments track company data and maintain security? More and more departments are commissioning their own solutions and bypassing IT. A cloud environment is amorphous and powerful, allowing you to set up solutions for all of your user needs: document sharing and collaboration, mobile access, e-mail, even industry-specific applications. In his session at 16th Cloud Expo, Shawn Mills, President and a founder of Green House Data, discussed h...

The Software Defined Data Center (SDDC), which enables organizations to seamlessly run in a hybrid cloud model (public + private cloud), is here to stay. IDC estimates that the software-defined networking market will be valued at $3.7 billion by 2016. Security is a key component and benefit of the SDDC, and offers an opportunity to build security 'from the ground up' and weave it into the environment from day one. In his session at 16th Cloud Expo, Reuven Harrison, CTO and Co-Founder of Tufin,...

Container technology is sending shock waves through the world of cloud computing. Heralded as the 'next big thing,' containers provide software owners a consistent way to package their software and dependencies while infrastructure operators benefit from a standard way to deploy and run them. Containers present new challenges for tracking usage due to their dynamic nature. They can also be deployed to bare metal, virtual machines and various cloud platforms. How do software owners track the usag...

Providing the needed data for application development and testing is a huge headache for most organizations. The problems are often the same across companies - speed, quality, cost, and control. Provisioning data can take days or weeks, every time a refresh is required. Using dummy data leads to quality problems. Creating physical copies of large data sets and sending them to distributed teams of developers eats up expensive storage and bandwidth resources. And, all of these copies proliferating...

Malicious agents are moving faster than the speed of business. Even more worrisome, most companies are relying on legacy approaches to security that are no longer capable of meeting current threats. In the modern cloud, threat diversity is rapidly expanding, necessitating more sophisticated security protocols than those used in the past or in desktop environments. Yet companies are falling for cloud security myths that were truths at one time but have evolved out of existence.
