MEGA Recognized by Enterprise Architecture Capabilities Report

MEGA HOPEX solutions were named in a Gartner, Inc. research report, ‘Gartner Assessment of Enterprise Architecture Tool Capabilities’, published April 11, 2014.

Gartner prepared this report in order to help companies understand enterprise architecture (EA) tools in the market today and how to select one that meets their particular needs.

“The top challenges that EA practitioners face today are largely about delivering business value, integrating business and IT planning, gaining and retaining stakeholder engagement, and applying the best practices to gain optimal business value. Today, the primary focus is much less about "doing EA" or creating a repository of artifacts that enterprise architects might find valuable, and much more about delivering business outcomes that provide actionable and diagnostic recommendations,” explained the report.

MEGA, cited as an industry leader in EA for many years by Gartner and other analyst firms, was among 14 vendors evaluated by Gartner on eight critical capabilities:

  • Repository/metamodel
  • Modeling
  • Decision analysis
  • Presentation
  • Administration
  • Configurability
  • Frameworks and standards
  • Usability

The report shows how vendors were evaluated on each category, and points out which solutions might fit certain types of enterprise needs.

“We believe this report correctly identifies EA as a critical function in business transformation,” noted Lucio de Risi, CEO, MEGA. “We feel this type of analysis helps companies make decisions about software solutions that can help them improve performance. Because EA plays such a pivotal role in the direction of the enterprise, it is essential that companies carefully select a solution that meets their unique needs.”

MEGA offers software solutions in EA, governance, risk and compliance (GRC), and IT portfolio management (ITPM), all unified on the MEGA HOPEX platform. HOPEX provides important services, such as workflows, assessments, reporting and dashboarding engines, users’ rights management, and many other capabilities.

United through HOPEX, MEGA’s comprehensive capabilities deliver business outcomes. Because MEGA’s variety of capabilities, frameworks, and spectrum of viewpoints is quite large, and because the company has packaged products into complete solutions, each user can leverage the capabilities they need.

For many companies, MEGA solutions become like a business GPS. MEGA delivers a single view of the organization so that it becomes much easier for organizations to navigate change.

MEGA has been helping organizations manage enterprise complexity and business transformation for more than 20 years. Customers include Aetna, Banque Accord, Johnson & Johnson, Nissan, Procter & Gamble, Starwood Hotels, Swiss Federal Railways, UniCredit Group and Walgreens.

MEGA has been cited in numerous analyst reports on enterprise governance, including EA and GRC. Gartner has named MEGA as a leader in its EA Magic Quadrant reports for five consecutive years and the company has been noted in research by Forrester Research, Inc.

Recent citations by analyst firms include:

  • Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Architecture Tools (October 2013)
  • The Forrester Wave: EA Management Suites, Q2 2013
  • Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Governance, Risk and Compliance Platforms (September 2013)
  • The Forrester Wave: Governance, Risk, and Compliance Platforms, Q1 2014

"We have several customers now running private clouds. They're not as large as they should be but it's getting there. The adoption challenge has been pretty simple. Look at the world today of virtualization vs cloud," stated Nara Rajagopalan, CEO of Accelerite, in this SYS-CON.tv interview at 18th Cloud Expo, held June 7-9, 2016, at the Javits Center in New York City, NY.
A strange thing is happening along the way to the Internet of Things, namely far too many devices to work with and manage. It has become clear that we'll need much higher efficiency user experiences that can allow us to more easily and scalably work with the thousands of devices that will soon be in each of our lives. Enter the conversational interface revolution, combining bots we can literally talk with, gesture to, and even direct with our thoughts, with embedded artificial intelligence, wh...
