CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/23/14 -- Parallel Energy Trust (TSX:PLT.UN)(TSX:PLT.DB) ("Parallel" or the "Trust") today announced the voting results from its 2014 annual and special meeting of unitholders held on May 22, 2014. The results of the director elections are as follows:

The Trust also announced that its unitholders approved an amendment of the Trust Indenture to require advance notice of nomination of directors of the administrator of the Trust. Additional details about these advance notice requirements can be found in the "Governance" section of Parallel's website at www.parallelenergy.ca under the subheading "Policies & Requirements". Unitholders also approved the unallocated entitlements under the Trust Unit Rights Incentive Plan and the Restricted Trust Unit Plan.
