Tradeshow thrives on another stellar year in Vietnamese manufacturing sector

Singapore, May 27, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - According to the recent Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI)[1], which hit a record high, surpassing the previous best from April 2011, the Vietnamese manufacturing sector looks set to embark on a path of continued growth, with higher new orders and improved productivity and increase in output. MTA VIETNAM, Vietnam's largest international manufacturing technology tradeshow, will be a timely showcase of the industry's leading companies and the most comprehensive showcase of metalcutting and metalforming machinery as well as tooling systems for the country's thriving manufacturing industry.

As foreign investments in the Vietnamese manufacturing sector increases and trade negotiations take place to expand market access, exports may see yet another stellar year[2]. The positive outlook is also buoyed by the introduction of international production standards, making Vietnam an increasingly popular base for setting up manufacturing facilities. The technological needs of the industry will only become more demanding as a result, and local businesses are urged to look to more sophisticated products and know-hows from leading global brands.

New-in-Vietnam Products

For the first time, visitors will be introduced a myriad of new-in-Vietnam products from the manufacturing value chain, which will be timely amid the current upswing in the industry.

-- BySun Fiber 3015 3kW - Bystronic's BySun Fiber laser cutting machine is developed using Fiber Technology. The ergonomics, safety and productivity of the machine are tailored to the industry's needs. It is also compact in design, has low power consumption and low operating costs.

-- DMC 650V - a unique machine design from DMG Mori Vietnam for powerful vertical production with Heidenhain TNC640 control. High speed spindle 14,000 rpm (121 Nm); A new rigid table and load capacity up to 1,500 kg (DMC 1150V) workpiece; 42m/min rapid traverse is available as option.

-- RF 100 Diver - For customers with constantly changing tool requirements and a high demand for machining flexibility, Guhring has the solution in this new Ratio end mill that covers five operations with one tool: RF 100 Diver can perform drilling, ramping, slotting, roughing and finishing operations.

-- OPTIPLEX 3015 Fibre II - Fibre laser oscillator for improved high-speed cutting of thin worksheets. Mazak's fibre laser performs high-speed cutting with lower output thanks to the shorter beam wave length (90%) when compared to a CO2 laser. Productivity is increased more than 30%.

-- EA8S - Electric Discharge Machine - Mitsubishi Electric's latest system comes equipped with 'ADVANCE' controller with improved operation processing speed and processing performance. It has an automatic elevating work tank and lubrication device for easy operation. The system is newly developed by automatic electrode exchange equipment LS-ATC with 50% reduction of conventional ratio electrode exchange time.

-- XT V 160 - high-quality PCB inspection system - Presented by Nikon, the XT V 160 is specifically designed for use in production lines and failure analysis laboratories. With a precision joystick, system users control the 5-axis sample manipulator. Real-time X-ray allows them to intuitively navigate complex printed circuit boards and electronic components and quickly trace defects. In automated inspection mode, samples can be inspected at highest throughput.

-- SmartScope(R) FlashT 300 - This is one of Optical Gaging's most versatile benchtop systems. With an expansive Z-axis of 250 mm (10 in.) to accommodate large parts, it combines state-of-the-art video and autofocus to deliver high productivity. It includes add optional through-the-lens (TTL) laser as well as touch probe or micro-probe to configure a highly capable multisensor system.

-- SL400G-SPW - Sodick's new EDM is a result of product in-house development with manufacturing of all elemental technologies that include linear motors, discharge power supply, NC unit, motion controller and ceramics. SL400G's high performance is based on the "Smart Pulse & Smart Linear" concept.

-- TruLaser 1030 fiber - TRUMPF offers the TruLaser 1030 fibre as an entry-level solution with key advantages. In addition to the usual materials such as steel, stainless steel and aluminium, nonferrous metals can be processed reliably and cost efficient. The energy-efficient solid-state laser TruDisk offers a convenient entrance into the laser welding.

DevOps is under attack because developers don’t want to mess with infrastructure. They will happily own their code into production, but want to use platforms instead of raw automation. That’s changing the landscape that we understand as DevOps with both architecture concepts (CloudNative) and process redefinition (SRE). Rob Hirschfeld’s recent work in Kubernetes operations has led to the conclusion that containers and related platforms have changed the way we should be thinking about DevOps and...

The only way to get CICD to work in a highly secure environment takes collaboration, patience and persistence. Building CICD in the cloud requires rigorous ar...
Companies are harnessing data in ways we once associated with science fiction. Analysts have access to a plethora of visualization and reporting tools, but considering the vast amount of data businesses collect and limitations of CPUs, end users are forced to design their structures and systems with limitations. Until now. As the cloud toolkit to analyze data has evolved, GPUs have stepped in to massively parallel SQL, visualization and machine learning.

Large industrial manufacturing organizations are adopting the agile principles of cloud software companies. The industrial manufacturing development process has not scaled over time. Enterprises are adopting Kubernetes to accelerate the development and the delivery of cloud-native applications. However, sharing a Kubernetes cluster between members of the same team can be challenging. And, sharing clusters across multiple teams is even harder.
