Actuate Corporation (NASDAQ: BIRT), The BIRT Company™ and the leader in personalized analytics and insights, today announced that it will be hosting a webinar on Thursday, May 29, entitled “Leverage Cloud Computing to Deliver the Next Wave of Customer Experience.” This complimentary online seminar will feature Andrew Bartels, Vice President and Principal Analyst at Forrester Research, Inc., along with Allen Bonde, Actuate’s Vice President of Product Marketing and Innovation.
The speakers will explain why the growth of cloud computing leads to increasingly more data, users, and a higher demand for adaptable and personalized experiences. As defined by Forrester in their April 24th report, “The Public Cloud Market Is Now In Hypergrowth,” this market will rise to $191 billion by 2020. However, Forrester predicts it will not take over the technology market. Rather, it will become an increasingly large part of that market and a complement to on-premises core transactional systems, creating more hybrid environments with unique data integration and analytics challenges – and opportunities.
In this webinar, Bartels and Bonde will discuss:
- Why cloud adoption will complement, not replace, on-premise BI and analytics technology
- Data implications caused by the growth of cloud computing, and the role of “smart process apps”
- Forrester’s recent sizing of the cloud market and predictions for advancements in data virtualization, where data from disparate sources is integrated into coherent data services for specific business needs
- How employing an open, agile and scalable foundation (like BIRT) enables brands and SaaS providers to thrive in this environment by streamlining access to data and delivery of personalized insights in customer-facing apps and devices
During this webinar, Bartels will also incorporate findings from the previously mentioned Forrester report that he co-authored.

A completely new computing platform is on the horizon. They’re called Microservers by some, ARM Servers by others, and sometimes even ARM-based Servers.
