Pythian Appoints Gregg Kitaeff as Vice President of Global Sales to Manage Expanding International Growth

Pythian, the global leader in data management consulting and services, has named Gregg Kitaeff its new Vice President of Global Sales. As the global demand for data management services continues to rise, Kitaeff will lead the charge in delivering Pythian’s proven solutions to the global marketplace. In his new role, Kitaeff will oversee global sales, with a specific focus on services in the United States, as well as further adoption of Pythian services in Australia and the United Kingdom. Kitaeff will also work to grow Pythian’s footprint by adding to the sales team and expanding the sales management structure to support the rapid growth of Pythian's major practice areas, including Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL, big data, and system administration. Kitaeff previously served as Pythian’s Managing Director of U.S. Sales.

Kitaeff brings more than 16 years of experience in direct and business-to-business sales in the high-tech sector, with specialties in hosting, Software as a Service (SaaS), software, Internet applications, CRM, compliance, and recurring revenue models. He served as the Vice President of Sales for Logicworks for almost eight years, managing the company’s sales department and developing corporate strategies around services. In 2010, Kitaeff joined the Pythian team as Director of Sales and led direct sales efforts from Pythian’s New York office.

“Pythian’s managed data services offers organizations the confidence that their most essential business systems remain up and running around the clock,” said Kitaeff. “As Vice President of Global Sales, I’ll support Pythian’s strongest growth markets, bringing our much-needed services and expertise to organizations large and small to help them best capitalize on the power of their data.”

“As companies across the globe continue to collect and house an increasing amount of data and turn their focus to the cloud, big data, and other strategic initiatives, the demand for Pythian’s data management services is higher than ever, especially internationally,” said Andrew Waitman, CEO of Pythian. “We recently established a London office to meet continued global growth in the coming years, and Gregg stands as the linchpin in our global expansion efforts. From his sales acumen to his industry expertise to his innate leadership abilities, Gregg is the right professional to bring Pythian’s proven services to market.
