Indigo Identityware Inc. (“Indigo”), a leader in healthcare productivity and security software, announced today its new alliance with Ingram Micro Inc., the world’s largest wholesale technology distributor and a global leader in IT supply-chain and mobile device lifecycle services. Ingram Micro is now authorized as a distribution partner for Indigo Identityware, bringing Indigo’s software solutions to resellers throughout the United States. Indigo and Ingram Micro already enjoy this relationship in a related, but distinctive, contract for Brazil.
“Teaming with Ingram Micro allows us to reach more resellers in the U.S. quickly and more thoroughly,” said Steve Canakes, Indigo’s chief operating officer. “Aligning with Ingram Micro’s Healthcare-focused resellers is very exciting and we are anxious to see the impact this collaboration will yield. Working with Ingram Micro will help further our mission of providing the solutions and framework for the ever expanding and critical role of secure productivity in Healthcare.”
Indigo, a Secure Authentication and Productivity software manufacturer, has traditionally sold its products directly to North American customers through its own direct sales organization and a limited number of select resellers. The new relationship with Ingram Micro now adds a large-scale independent distributor in the United States to advance Indigo’s initiatives.
“Ingram Micro’s leadership within the healthcare vertical is matched by its growing solutions and services-oriented portfolio, which includes our Physician Outreach Total Solution framework,” commented Diane Lees, senior vertical markets manager for Ingram Micro, “We are pleased to welcome Indigo Identityware into the Ingram Micro Healthcare portfolio and work together to accelerate adoption of technology within this market and continue to drive the industry forward.”

You might have played with the technology a couple of years ago, only to find the extra infrastructure requirements were painful to implement and poorly documented. This probably left a bitter taste in your mouth, especially when things went wrong.
