Government Agencies and Educational Institutions Reap Benefits of AVST's Cooperative Purchasing State Contracts

This Week at Texas DIR Connect Expo, AVST Showcases Industry's Most Interoperable Unified Communications Platform

AUSTIN, TX -- (Marketwired) -- 05/28/14 -- With its continued commitment to serve the government and education sectors, Applied Voice & Speech Technologies, Inc. (AVST) is on-hand this week at the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) Connect Technology Expo in Austin. DIR Connect brings DIR contracted technology vendors together with IT and purchasing staff from state agencies, local and county government, K-12 and higher education to raise awareness about all of DIR's key program areas including co-op contracts, data center services, communications technology services, security and At the event, AVST will share case studies and best practices for rolling out a UC solution.

Texas DIR is one of several awarded cooperative purchasing government and educational institution contracts that AVST has in place for purchasing its UC solution. From the GSA (U.S. General Services Administration), to several state agencies including CMAS in California, Ohio State Schedule, NY OGS, and COSTARS and PEPPM in Pennsylvania, AVST has established these contracts to ensure a streamlined purchasing process for government and educational institutions.
