ReelSEO today announced that the 2014 Reel Video Summit, which will be held July 24-25 at the Hotel Nikko in San Francisco, will feature a new type of session called “Grill the Gurus.” The ReelSummit is where marketers, storytellers, and retailers gather to get serious about online video.
Bonfire Labs, a Creative Content Agency and one of this year’s event sponsors, created the event promo video entitled, “The History of Video Marketing Part 1: Revolution.” The sequel, which will be shared with attendees at the opening of the summit and will set the tone for the two day event, is currently under development with Bonfire entitled, “The History of Video Marketing, Part 2: Evolution.”
The 2014 Reel Video Summit is organized by Mark Robertson, Founder and Publisher of ReelSEO.com, the leading information resource dedicated to the growth and fusion of the digital video, technology, social media, search and internet marketing. He said, “Grill the Gurus is designed to provide ReelSummit attendees with an opportunity to learn, network, and share information with their peers and industry professionals. Attendees will have a wide range of industry topics and tables to choose from and can sit down in a low-key, small group setting and enjoy relaxed conversation while engaging in thought-provoking discussions on any of the relevant and valuable topics.”
Greg Jarboe, author of YouTube and Video Marketing: An Hour a Day and a contributor to ReelSEO, said, “Each roundtable will feature two gurus. All an attendee of the 2014 Reel Video Summit needs to do is simply choose the topic that is most pertinent and important to his or her organization and join the discussion! Attendees can also move freely between roundtables to make sure they get the most out of this session. Grill the Gurus will take place immediately before the Opening Reception Party to enable attendees to get discussions started before continuing them over a few drinks.”
To ensure that the topics are relevant and valuable, ReelSEO is asking readers to vote for the ones that they’d want to grill the gurus about. Although there is a list of 14 potential topics, readers can write in others. In some cases, ReelSEO readers may be more interested is grilling a specific guru than in grilling a guru on a particular topic. That’s why there is also a form for nominating gurus.
Robertson said, "We’re looking for a few select gurus who can discuss and present examples from actual video marketing campaigns for large businesses and brands. Preference will be given to those with direct, first-hand knowledge and experience with video content creation, marketing or advertising for a large business or brand.”
