LAS VEGAS, NV -- (Marketwired) -- 05/29/14 -- Diamond Concierge Service founder Ron Khordi will debut a Google Glass live video stream of jewelry with customers during the JCK Las Vegas Jewelry Show beginning May 30th, 2014. When a customer's ideal diamond is located at the show, Khordi will wear Google Glass from inside the vendor's booth to broadcast live video to the customer's mobile device using Livestream's Glassware app. Diamond Concierge Service is hoping to pioneer a new model for selling diamonds or jewelry, via a mobile-to-mobile platform.
An open secret of the global diamond supply chain is that most inventory is physically located with manufacturers and wholesalers. All online stores and most retail stores simply consign diamonds during the sales process. That leaves an opening for what Khordi says Google Glass can fill.
"The retail diamond industry evolved quickly in the internet age. The jewelry store was a meeting point between a customer, company, and product. The desktop computer allowed the customer to remain at home, while connecting to a company and product. The mobile device allowed the customer to connect from anywhere," says Khordi.
"Google Glass enables the next step in the evolution of the diamond industry, by connecting the product, wherever it is using a salesperson's wearable device, and customers wherever they are using their mobile device," says Khordi. The annual JCK Las Vegas jewelry shows brings nearly all major global diamond supplies together, an ideal venue to debut the feature to customers.
Reporters can join a live demo on Friday, May 30th at 12 p.m. PST/3 p.m. EST by visiting http://diamondconciergeservice.com/livestream
Diamond Concierge Service is a second generation jewelry company, headquartered at New York's diamond district with partner offices in Ramat Gan, Israel. It shares three decades of access to worldwide diamond suppliers with clients to offer better options that they can't find in stores or websites. Ron Khordi is the first known jeweler to be a Google Glass explorer and to adapt its functionality to the jewelry industry. Glass is used to broadcast live video streams of diamonds from New York or Israel to a customer's mobile device or PC.

Much of the value of DevOps comes from a (renewed) focus on measurement, sharing, and continuous feedback loops. In increasingly complex DevOps workflows and environments, and especially in larger, regulated, or more crystallized organizations, these core concepts become even more critical. In his session at @DevOpsSummit at 18th Cloud Expo, Andi Mann, Chief Technology Advocate at Splunk, showed how, by focusing on 'metrics that matter,' you can provide objective, transparent, and meaningful f...

An IoT product’s log files speak volumes about what’s happening with your products in the field, pinpointing current and potential issues, and enabling you to predict failures and save millions of dollars in inventory. But until recently, no one knew how to listen. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Dan Gettens, Chief Research Officer at OnProcess, will discuss recent research by Massachusetts Institute of Technology and OnProcess Technology, where MIT created a new, breakthrough analytics model f...

If you’re responsible for an application that depends on the data or functionality of various IoT endpoints – either sensors or devices – your brand reputation depends on the security, reliability, and compliance of its many integrated parts. If your application fails to deliver the expected business results, your customers and partners won't care if that failure stems from the code you developed or from a component that you integrated. What can you do to ensure that the endpoints work as expect...
