CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/29/14 -- Beginning Monday, June 2nd, motorists coming downtown for lunch, business or errands can park with the Calgary Parking Authority in five parkades for $5 during the lunch rush. This promotion offers ParkPlus cell phone account holders a discounted two-hour parking rate between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., Monday to Thursday until August 28th. The $5 Summer Lunch Special is being offered in addition to the already popular $5 Fridays promotion that allows anyone to park in the same parkades from 11 a.m. to 10 a.m. the next day for just $5.
"Downtown Calgary is vibrant and bustling on weekdays during these two hours," said General Manager Troy McLeod. "We want to make it an easy decision to come downtown so Calgarians can enjoy everything the downtown has to offer during the summer. We're happy to offer this extra incentive to our customers."
To take advantage of the $5 Summer Lunch Special the customer must use their ParkPlus cell phone account. This promotion is only being offered Monday to Thursday between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. so customers who wish to say longer are required to start a new session for the additional time they require.

The Calgary Parking Authority is a proud partner of The City of Calgary and is committed to managing publicly-owned on- and off-street parking facilities on The City's behalf. In addition, we manage the municipal parking enforcement program and provide parking advisory services.
Every dollar we collect that exceeds our operational costs is returned to The City of Calgary. Last year we returned more than $2M each month to the municipal general revenue program which funds projects such as recreation centres and pathways and provides funding for community services and public safety programs. The CPA operates without using any municipal tax revenues.

Creating replica copies to tolerate a certain number of failures is easy, but very expensive at cloud-scale. Conventional RAID has lower overhead, but it is limited in the number of failures it can tolerate. And the management is like herding cats (overseeing capacity, rebuilds, migrations, and degraded performance). If you had a chance to enter on the ground level of the largest e-commerce market in the world – would you? China is the world’s most populated country with the second largest economy and the world’s fastest growing market. It is estimated that by 2018 the Chinese market will be reaching over $30 billion in gaming revenue alone. Admittedly for a foreign company, doing business in China can be challenging. Often changing laws, administrative regulations and the often inscrutable Chinese Interne...
