Next-Generation Design Technology Provides Consistent Results Across All Power Ranges and Features Thinner Rounded Edge for Additional Comfort

LARGO, FL -- (Marketwired) -- 06/02/14 -- Unilens Vision Inc. (OTCQB: UVIC), which develops, licenses, manufactures, distributes and markets specialty contact lenses, today announced the launch of its new disposable C-Vue® ADDvantage™ Multifocal for Presbyopia contact lens in silicone hydrogel material for monthly replacement. The new product incorporates Unilens' highly Advanced next-generation multifocal contact lens design technology, which allows for ease of fit by providing a consistent near ADD power across all power profiles, ultimately resulting in clear vision for presbyopes at all distances. The lens is also thinner and more rounded at the edges for comfort.

"The science behind the C-Vue® ADDvantage™ design technology effectively controls the near ADD power across the power profile, resulting in a consistent fit and reduced chair time for the eye care professional," stated Denis Rehse, Director of Research and Development at Unilens Vision Inc. "In addition to being easier to fit and providing consistent ADD across all power ranges, C-Vue® ADDvantage™ contact lenses are thinner and more rounded at the edges, resulting in excellent comfort."

The new lens for monthly replacement, which is available in a High and a Low ADD, and power ranges from +6.00 to -10.00, incorporates an aspheric design with a consistent center ADD power across all power ranges. The lenses will be sold exclusively to independent eye care professionals. Unilens will provide eye care professionals with an attractive and user-friendly display cabinet and trial program with a 120-Day Performance Guarantee on the lenses.

"As the number of persons with presbyopia continues to grow at a faster rate than America's population as a whole due to demographic trends, we are pleased to be able to meet a specific growing market demand for best of breed, next-generation multifocal technology that continues to improve upon consistent vision at all distances for presbyopes with the launch of the new C-Vue® ADDvantage™ Multifocal," noted Kelly McKnight, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Unilens Vision Inc.
