Telefónica, one of the largest telecommunications firms in the world, has already launched its SmartCheck service -- including Panini technology -- to Brazil and several other Latin American markets to enable check capture in retail and corporate environments using desktop, traditional POS, and virtual POS (tablet-based) systems.
