Skyfence Networks, the company that automates visibility and control over cloud apps, today announced the appointment of Frank Cabri as vice president of marketing. Mr. Cabri brings 20 years of marketing and management experience in enterprise security, cloud and datacenter technologies to Skyfence. He joined Skyfence from Centrify Corporation, a leading provider of unified identity services across data center, cloud and mobile.
“We are extremely pleased to welcome a proven security veteran like Frank to the Skyfence management team,” said Ofer Hendler, CEO of Skyfence. “Frank has the domain knowledge, skill set and deep experience in security and SaaS technologies required to help establish Skyfence in the emerging cloud application security market.”
The “bring-your-own” cloud app trend has created a visibility and control blind spot for IT that cannot be addressed by traditional perimeter and endpoint controls. As the first marketing executive at the company, Mr. Cabri assumes responsibility for leading the go-to-market strategy for Skyfence’s Cloud Gateway offerings, which integrate application visibility, risk analytics and cloud threat prevention, to enable safe and productive use of cloud apps.
Prior to Centrify, Mr. Cabri held management positions at web security vendor Blue Coat Systems and Novell.
“Cloud apps can create visibility and security risks for organizations,” said Frank Cabri. “Skyfence has developed an innovative way to help organizations see and monitor cloud activity so they can manage risks and safely adopt cloud apps. We enable users to get the apps they want and IT to obtain the visibility and control they need."
Skyfence, an Imperva (NYSE: IMPV) company, automates visibility and control over cloud apps. The Skyfence Cloud Gateway accurately identifies application use and analyzes related risks. With Dynamic User and Device Fingerprinting™, organizations can enforce controls for cloud apps to protect against account-centric threats, meet compliance and protect data. With Skyfence, users get the apps they want and IT gets the visibility they need. Learn more about Skyfence at www.skyfence.com

Data is an unusual currency; it is not restricted by the same transactional limitations as money or people. In fact, the more that you leverage your data across multiple business use cases, the more valuable it becomes to the organization. And the same can be said about the organization’s analytics. In his session at 19th Cloud Expo, Bill Schmarzo, CTO for the Big Data Practice at EMC, will introduce a methodology for capturing, enriching and sharing data (and analytics) across the organizati...
