mophie Helps Support Cash & Rocket 2014 Tour with Release of Limited Edition Powerstation Designed by Valentino

mophie, the #1 selling mobile battery case in North America and innovator of power and storage solutions for mobile devices, has teamed up with the revered house of Valentino to create a limited edition mophie powerstation. This unique cross-industry collaboration among two game-changing brands comes in the name of charity, benefiting the Cash & Rocket 2014 Tour with proceeds from the sale of each powerstation going to three organizations that bring aid to women and children: Shine on Sierra Leone, OrphanAid Africa and Sumbandila.

“In the mobile world, mophie is known for being style-forward, so having the opportunity to partner with such an established house like Valentino is an landmark event for mophie,” said Shawn Dougherty, COO and Co-Founder of mophie. “But at the end of the day, bringing our communities together to support several amazing causes is what makes this project even more special.”

Inspired by Valentino’s Spring/Summer 2014 Rouge Absolute collection, the compact, glossy finished powerstation is part of a special Capsule Collection, created exclusively for the Cash & Rocket project, and cloaked in iconic Valentino red. The product design is based on mophie’s powerstation 4000 model, a mobile battery capable of quickly powering virtually any USB device in the world, and will come housed in exclusive packaging.

Only 500 units were created, with no plans to reproduce this specific collaboration in the future.

The Cash & Rocket Tour brings together some of the world’s most powerful women who will unite across Europe to raise global awareness and funds for the three aforementioned charities. A number of the Valentino-designed mophie powerstations will also be auctioned off when the Cash & Rocket Tour reaches London to host a gala, closing out the tour on June 8th.

The limited edition mophie powerstation will be available to purchase at www.mophie.com, Valentino’s online shop (www.valentino.com) and several Valentino boutiques throughout Europe.

You know you need the cloud, but you’re hesitant to simply dump everything at Amazon since you know that not all workloads are suitable for cloud. You know that you want the kind of ease of use and scalability that you get with public cloud, but your applications are architected in a way that makes the public cloud a non-starter. You’re looking at private cloud solutions based on hyperconverged infrastructure, but you’re concerned with the limits inherent in those technologies.

DevOps is under attack because developers don’t want to mess with infrastructure. They will happily own their code into production, but want to use platforms instead of raw automation. That’s changing the landscape that we understand as DevOps with both architecture concepts (CloudNative) and process redefinition (SRE). Rob Hirschfeld’s recent work in Kubernetes operations has led to the conclusion that containers and related platforms have changed the way we should be thinking about DevOps and...

Detecting internal user threats in the Big Data eco-system is challenging and cumbersome. Many organizations monitor internal usage of the Big Data eco-system using a set of alerts. This is not a scalable process given the increase in the number of alerts with the accelerating growth in data volume and user base. Organizations are increasingly leveraging machine learning to monitor only those data elements that are sensitive and critical, autonomously establish monitoring policies, and to detect...

Because IoT devices are deployed in mission-critical environments more than ever before, it’s increasingly imperative they be truly smart. IoT sensors simply stockpiling data isn’t useful. When shopping for a new data processing platform for IoT solutions, many development teams want to be able to test-drive options before making a choice. Yet when evaluating an IoT solution, it’s simply not feasible to do so at scale with physical devices. Building a sensor simulator is the next best choice; however, generating a realistic simulation at very high TPS with ease of configurability is a formidable challenge. When dealing with multiple application or transport protocols, you would be...
An increasing number of companies are creating products that combine data with analytical capabilities. Existing Big Data solutions are mainly focused on the discovery and analysis of data. The solutions are scalable and highly available but tedious when swapping in and swapping out occurs in disarray and thrashing takes place. The resolution for thrashing through machine learning algorithms and support nomenclature is through simple techniques.
