Ping Identity®, The Identity Security CompanyTM, has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Leaders Quadrant of the 2014 Magic Quadrant for Identity and Access Management as a Service (IDaaS). With this latest report, Ping Identity now holds a leader position in market reports from the industry’s big-three research firms - Gartner, Forrester1 and IDC.2
IDaaS has emerged in recent years as a new market, distinct from Identity and Access Management (IAM) yet intrinsically connected at the same time. According to Gartner, “larger organizations tend to have IAM solutions in place and have deeper IGA functionality needs than Web-centric vendors can provide.”3
“This is further recognition for our Next Gen Identity platform vision,” said Ping Identity CEO, Andre Durand. “Forrester Research recognizes us as a leader in Identity and Access Management, IDC notes our leadership in Federated Identity Management and now according to Gartner, we are a leader in the IDaaS market. It’s really an incredible acknowledgement for our company and shows not only our continued technological execution but the investment that our customers have made in us.”
According to Gartner, companies considered to be “leaders” drive the market’s transformation with a clear vision and a strong ability to execute. Leaders in IDaaS “have generally made strong customer gains. They provide feature sets that are appropriate for current customer use case needs. Leaders also show evidence of superior vision and execution for anticipated requirements related to technology, methodology or means of delivery. Leaders typically demonstrate solid customer satisfaction with overall IDaaS capabilities and/or related service and support.”
