LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwired) -- 06/06/14 -- MCS Test Equipment has moved to a larger and more technologically advanced site to accommodate increasing demand and to support their rapidly growing workforce. Following a year of incredible growth, the test equipment distributors' old site was insufficient for the needs of the company and the workforce.
A business year that saw a turnover increase of 25% encouraged MCS Test Equipment to invest heavily in recruitment and development. The expert workforce has grown by 75% over the past year, necessitating expanded and improved technologies alongside the larger site.
With twice the capacity of the old site, MCS Test Equipment's new home in the New Vision Business Park in St Asaph, Denbigshire will provide plenty of space for the increased workforce and new technological additions. The company has used this opportunity to upgrade and improve much of the existing technologies, IT services and telephone systems, ensuring that everything is operating at the highest level of efficiency.
The company intends to continue improving the site with an added on-site calibration laboratory in the planning stages, further extending the services offered by MCS Test Equipment.
With a stronger logistical infrastructure in place, MCS have also decided to update and improve their website, and increasing their marketing push.
Michael Gwynne, Marketing Manager for the company explained: "The investment in more technical support staff and sales engineers has been the engine for growth in the business. They have supported the acquisition and delivery of new contracts and optimised service provision to existing customers. We have also improved the technology base supporting the business to further enhance our services.
"Combined with the improvement and enhanced usability of our website and a focus on marketing, particularly CRM, this has given us an accelerated growth curve both in terms of revenue and staffing requirements.
"A year ago relocation hadn't even been on the horizon. However the rapid expansion of business - and the opportunity to enlarge and improve our services in other areas - persuaded us that this was a good time to consider new premises.
"The new building gives us the ability to configure the space in a way that maximises our effectiveness and integrates the new staff and equipment in a more streamlined manner. It also gives us the space for further growth and staff additions, should they prove necessary. The ability to add facilities like the calibration laboratory and possibly other complementary services in the future is another important aspect of the decision to move to a larger and more flexible space."

Mobile messaging has been a popular communication channel for more than 20 years. Finnish engineer Matti Makkonen invented the idea for SMS (Short Message Service) in 1984, making his vision a reality on December 3, 1992 by sending the first message ("Happy Christmas") from a PC to a cell phone. Since then, the technology has evolved immensely, from both a technology standpoint, and in our everyday uses for it. Originally used for person-to-person (P2P) communication, i.e., Sally sends a text...

For almost two decades, businesses have discovered great opportunities to engage with customers and even expand revenue through digital systems, including web and mobile applications. Yet, even now, the conversation between the business and the technologists that deliver these systems is strained, in large part due to misaligned objectives. In his session at DevOps Summit, James Urquhart, Senior Vice President of Performance Analytics at SOASTA, Inc., will discuss how measuring user outcomes –...
