Benton Commences Drilling at Cape Ray Gold

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 06/06/14 -- Benton Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BEX) ("Benton" or "the Company") is pleased to announce that drilling has commenced on its 100% owned Cape Ray Gold Project. Cabo Drilling of Springdale, NL is contracted for the current drill program where a 17 hole, 2000 metre program will test various targets including the west extension of the 51 Deposit, new geophysical, gold-in-soil, and bedrock showings west of the 51 Deposit area and the east and west strike extension of the PW Zone. The company is pleased to finally get the drilling campaign underway and will keep shareholders updated as result are received and compiled.

The Cape Ray gold project is host to 6 historical gold deposits and the Company is currently studying the potential to advance several of these deposits towards production. The Company is also confident that additional resources can be discovered on the property. Benton controls a 100% interest in 60km of strike length along the Cape Ray Fault, a significant regional gold-bearing structure that hosts the Cape Ray deposits as well as Marathon Gold's Valentine Lake deposit located 120 km to the northeast of Benton's claim block.
