RISCO Group, a leading provider of integrated security solutions, has been selected to provide security management and additional security solutions for the new Arena Pantanal in Cuiaba for the upcoming 2014 World Cup games in Brazil.
The requirement for a comprehensive security solution that would ensure the tightest security and safety measures for the 44,000 spectator arena, managed and controlled from a unified control room was met by RISCO Group, who will provide their powerful Command and Control solution in addition to access control and a customized ticketing and validation system. The Command and Control solution will enable to control other systems such as: hundreds of security IP cameras deployed in the stadium and its surroundings, lighting systems, gates, and PA system.
RISCO Group’s Command and Control solution, employing the SynopSYS Integrated Security and Building Management™ platform, is based on intuitive synoptic maps and integrates all security and building management systems and subsystems, including those from third parties, into one unified interface, ensuring the highest levels of security for all visitors to this momentous event.
axesplus®, RISCO Group’s access control solution, which will be incorporated within the platform and centrally controlled from the stadium’s main Command and Control Room, will be utilized to secure the hundreds of doors and turnstiles within the arena, providing protection from unauthorized entry and counterfeit tickets. RISCO Group is also providing a specialized ticketing validation system complying with FIFA’s regulations for this purpose.

The Arena Pantanal is one of 12 stadiums constructed or remodeled in Brazil for the upcoming 2014 World Cup, and will host several matches. The Arena itself has a capacity for 44,000 spectators, and was constructed with a total investment of US$537.7 million.
