FARMINGTON, CT -- (Marketwired) -- 06/09/14 -- Innovation Group is pleased to announce the release of a new mobile app for Windows 8.1, developed in conjunction with Microsoft Corp. and designed to increase productivity and efficiency for property and casualty (P&C) insurance agents.
This interactive, highly-visual app for Windows 8.1 enables agents to easily monitor individual performance statistics using key performance indicators (KPIs) and standard financial metrics, and perform on-demand, self-service business intelligence (BI) investigations into operations and clients. Innovation Group worked closely with Microsoft during the development phase to ensure the app is tightly-integrated with Insurer Analytics, a primary component of Innovation Group's market-leading Innovation Insurer software suite. The integration with Insurer Analytics means current Innovation Group clients will enjoy a rapid launch, and almost immediate access to in-depth analytics for agents in the field.
Additionally, the app:
- Employs the same guided analysis principles as Insurer Analytics;
- Provides proactive agent network management for insurers;
- Enables insurers to notify specific agents of key events that may affect a particular book of business (i.e. severe weather events, regulatory changes, etc.);
- Features GPS integration to facilitate route planning against any agent's book of business; and
- Is optimized to run on all Windows 8 architectures, including both x86 and ARM devices.
"The Windows 8.1 application from Innovation Group is a great example of a core systems provider extending the value of its offerings to insurance carriers, and in ways that reflect how insurance carriers want to use technology today," said Tony Jacob, managing director, Worldwide Insurance at Microsoft. "Innovation Group, one of our strategic partners in insurance, has already embraced our server technologies for its suite of policy, claims, and analytics solutions. Now this Windows 8.1 application helps the mobile workforce like agents and relationship managers more easily leverage the business insight that Insurer Analytics delivers, in a great mobile application experience, and on more secure, more manageable Windows slates, tablets and PCs."
Innovation Group's solution portfolio delivers distinctive capabilities within a cohesive, comprehensive and configurable solution, thereby enabling insurers to break free of legacy paradigms and embrace change. Designed specifically for P&C insurers, Innovation Group's award-winning policy, claims and analytics software offers insurers an integrated suite of software with modules that can be implemented individually or as part of a broader migration strategy.
"Many insurers are looking to add mobile capabilities to meet the demands of not only consumers, but agents and partners as well," said Paul Nichols, Innovation Group's President Worldwide Insurer Business. "At the same time, insurers want more in-depth analytics available when they need it to enable more informed decision-making and to track business performance. This new Windows 8.1 app is a great way for insurers to leverage technology and provide their agents with more meaningful information to increase productivity."

As the rapid adoption of containers continues, companies are finding that they lack the operational tools to understand the behavior of applications deployed in these containers, and how to identify issues in their application infrastructure. For example, how are multiple containers within an application impacting each other’s performance? If an application’s service is degraded, which container is to blame? In the case of an application outage, what was the root cause of the outage?
