SCOTTSDALE, AZ--(Marketwired - June 09, 2014) - Our freedom is certainly not free. Over 700,000 soldiers have been killed or disabled in the military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan -- Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, and Operation New Dawn. Over the past year, over one million dependents of these brave soldiers have been adversely affected by the multiple deployments, including more than 87% of them who do not qualify for federal scholarship assistance. While the federal government provides some support for these families, the need can't be met without proactive assistance from civilian organizations. To help thousands of military families fulfill their educational dreams, MyJobChart.com has partnered with the Folds of Honor Foundation to increase awareness and scholarship opportunities.
As part of the partnership, MyJobChart.com will proudly provide scholarships, as well as additional donations through members and special events. Those interested in supporting this outstanding organization can sign up at http://myjobchart.com/cobrand/folds.
"We are very proud to be associated with the Folds of Honor Foundation," said MyJobChart.com Founder and CEO Gregg Murset, who was recently named Financial Educator of the Year by the National Financial Educators Council. "Many of the men and women of our military are also fathers and mothers, who often struggle with their children handing home responsibilities and understanding the importance of wise money decisions. While we will never forget the sacrifices members of our military make everyday on our behalf, our hope is that this partnership will act as a catalyst for someone to obtain a degree or improve their life through the scholarship or donations MyJobChart.com provides."
MyJobChart.com brings together the latest technology and basic personal finance principles to help parents teach their children responsibility, accountability and how to manage money wisely. In just over three years, MJC kids have completed over 22 million jobs and earned nearly $3 million.
"The Folds of Honor Foundation was created to honor those who have made a significant sacrifice in the name of freedom and to ensure their legacy through education," Folds of Honor Founder Major Dan Rooney said. "The success we have enjoyed thus far is a tribute to partners like MyJobChart.com who understands that we must never leave our military heroes and their families behind on the field of battle."
The Folds of Honor Foundation is rallying a nation to ensure no family is left behind in the fight to preserve American freedom. Through educational scholarships and other assistance, Folds of Honor gives back to the spouses and children of soldiers killed or disabled in service to our country. Providing healing, hope and an opportunity for dreams to be realized, Folds of Honor has already provided more than 5,400 educational scholarships.

About Folds of Honor Foundation
Folds of Honor Foundation was founded in May 2007 by Major Dan Rooney, a former F-16 Fighter Pilot in the Oklahoma Air National Guard, PGA Professional, and USGA member. A decorated military pilot in the Oklahoma Air National Guard, Major Rooney has served three combat tours in Iraq. It was after his second tour, while a passenger on a commercial flight, that Major Rooney witnessed an event that would profoundly change his life. As the plane landed, the pilot announced, "Ladies and gentlemen, we have an American hero on board -- Corporal Brock Bucklin. And his twin brother, Corporal Brad Bucklin, is accompanying him home from Iraq. As a sign of respect, please remain seated while Corporal Bucklin's family receives him in his final homecoming." Major Rooney watched through the window of the plane as the flag-draped casket was lowered. He saw a family waiting for Brock, and a little four-year old boy waiting for his father. This tragic homecoming inspired Major Rooney to create the Folds of Honor Foundation.
