SACRAMENTO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/09/14 -- The statewide Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) on June 10 will release a new report detailing specific impacts of the drought around the state and outlining a series of recommendations for creating a more resilient water system in California.
A press call is scheduled for Tuesday, June 10 at 10 a.m. to brief reporters on the recommendations. See details below.
ACWA's report comes as water managers around the state cope with one of the driest years on record. Developed by a statewide Drought Action Group formed in January, the report identifies drought impacts across a range of sectors and provides examples of specific near-term projects and actions that can help shore up water supply reliability locally and regionally.
