ARRAY Information Technology (ARRAY) announced today that it has formed a partnership to provide the Gimmal Compliance Suite for Microsoft SharePoint to Federal, Department of Defense and commercial organizations. This is the only records management software that is certified to Department of Defense 5015.02 standards and is built to natively reside within SharePoint.
The partnership is designed to meet increasing challenges around records management compliance, information lifecycle and collaboration systems. Gimmal is the first company to develop a cost-effective solution that meets Federal standards for records management. With this new partnership, Federal agencies will be able to acquire the solution and leverage ARRAY’s SharePoint, records management and project management experts for their implementation.
With the high cost of support and maintenance, and complex user interfaces of traditional ECM suites, many organizations are adopting SharePoint and its user friendly experience as a unified platform for content and records management. Gimmal’s Compliance Suite builds on SharePoint's foundation to provide a full-featured and Department of Defense compliant records management application that can reside on premise or be extended to the cloud. This will allow defense and civilian organizations to eliminate redundant systems, proactively classify records, automate compliance, and reduce risk. The Compliance Suite will automate complex processes and reduce administrative burden so the government can focus on protecting our country.
“Our partnership with Gimmal will provide unmatched solutions and services that will change the way the Federal government handles records management, information governance and collaboration,” states Marty Heinrich, director of Records and Information Management at ARRAY. “By automating records management functions and enabling agencies to focus less on administrative processes, they can focus more on carrying out their mission.”
Art Bellis, vice president of sales and alliances at Gimmal, said, “The team at Gimmal is pleased to partner with ARRAY in the U.S. public sector. ARRAY has the delivery capabilities and experience to assist clients implementing Gimmal to create a compliant and governed content and records management platform on SharePoint 2013.”
