VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/10/14 -- Brighton College, a Vancouver-based vocational school and career college, has recently announced its designation as an official Designated Learning Institution for Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC).
New rules are in place as of June 1st, 2014 regarding CIC's study permits for prospective international students. In order to protect the integrity of Canada's immigration and education systems, students are now required to obtain a letter of acceptance from a designated learning institution, such as Brighton College.
Each province and territory in Canada is responsible for designating post secondary schools which may enroll international students as of June 1st, 2014. Brighton College is proud to announce that they have successfully completed all requirements as outlined by CIC, and have officially obtained status as a designated learning institution.
According to CIC, students who obtain a letter of acceptance from a non-designated institution after June 1st will have their study permit refused. Those who have applied and been accepted prior to June 1st may still pursue their program of study at the institute at which they have already been accepted.
Brighton College offers programs in business, accounting, AutoCAD, construction, healthcare, office administration, hospitality, information technology, internet marketing and international trade, and is currently accepting applications from international students.
For more information on applying for a study permit, or for more information about Brighton College's programs, call 604-430-5608 or visit www.BrightonCollege.com.
