At the Broadcast Asia Show (BCA) June 17-20, 2014 on stand 5L5-01, Interra Systems will showcase the latest versions of Baton, its file-based QC solution and Orion, a real-time content monitoring solution.
The Baton content verification system has been recently updated with several new features including T-STD buffer analysis; support for encrypted HLS files, IMF containers and 4K format; and enhanced video dropout checks; among others. Baton has been implemented by post-production houses, broadcasters, and other content distributors for reliable, efficient quality control and ease of integration into any workflow.
The Orion real-time content monitoring solution checks IP or ASI feeds at the IP, transport, and individual video and audio service levels. Running on standard IT hardware, Orion’s integrated monitoring platform isolates and identifies errors that may affect Quality of Experience (QoE) and Quality of Service (QoS).

Information for Editors:
Baton is a multi-platform, automated content verification (quality control) system for file-based SD, HD, and mixed workflows. Supporting a full range of codecs and media containers, Baton ensures quality control of media content from creation to playout. The software is highly flexible and can be quickly scaled for large facilities or a high volume of content. Baton can be integrated easily with other systems such as media asset management system, encoders and video server systems as well as deep storage libraries as part of a complete workflow.
Interra’s Orion gives broadcasters, cable operators, satellite headends and streaming media services a scalable, enterprise solution to monitor and analyze their content in real-time; from transport stream assessment to audio/video quality checks. Orion can also perform audio/video quality checking of the inserted programs such as checks for video blockiness, black frames, freeze frames and audio loudness based on CALM/ITU/EBU standards.
