GLOBOFORCE HONOURED AS ONE OF THE BEST WORKPLACES IN EUROPE
Ranked in the top 50, Globoforce celebrated by employees for its
culture of recognition
the leading provider of social
recognition solutions, today announced that it was named as one of
the Best Workplaces in Europe 2014 by the Great Place To Work®
Institute. Announced at an awards ceremony held at the Parco dei
Principi Grand Hotel in Rome on Thursday 5th June, Globoforce was ranked
number 50 out of the top 100 companies in Europe in the medium-sized
workplace category. This follows Globoforce being named as the number
three workplace in Ireland by the Great Place to Work Institute as well
as the number twenty-five workplace on the list in the United States.
“Being consistently named to the Great Place to Work lists in Europe and
the US is a testament to the power of thanks and Globoforce’s culture of
recognition. This culture is the driving force behind our success as a
company and how we deliver the best recognition programs in the world,
including our own,” said Eric Mosley, CEO of Globoforce. “We
congratulate our fellow companies on the list and applaud their shared
dedication to a positivity-infused workplace.”
“The Great Workplace Era is a time when all people can expect to work
for an organisation where they trust their leaders, enjoy their
colleagues and take pride in what they do. A time, in other words, when
workplaces make the world better,” says China Gorman, global CEO of
Great Place to Work. “This era is arriving in Europe and other parts of
the globe. And it’s good news for everyone.”
The Great Place to Work Institute assesses the policies and practices in
place in organisations under nine key areas: inspiring, speaking,
listening, caring, developing, thanking, hiring, celebrating and
sharing. These practices are benchmarked against other organisations in
that country. The second key component of the assessment is an anonymous
‘Trust Index survey’ that gathers the perceptions of employees under
five dimensions: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.
Finally, there is an in-depth qualitative analysis of open ended
comments from employees.
