SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/12/14 -- Mindjet, the world's leader in SaaS solutions for enterprise innovation management, announced today that SpigitEngage was awarded the highest score and named the leader among innovation platforms in the GigaOm RESEARCH: Sector RoadMap: Innovation Platforms in 2014(1). Mindjet, whose platform enables the world's leading brands to build and manage sustainable innovation programs, was among the companies that GigaOm looked at when evaluating the innovation sector. The report analyzes different innovation platforms currently available on the market.
"[SpigitEngage as] the market leader is aggressive and venture-backed, and it is now owned by Mindjet and is part of a suite of business-strategy tools. [SpigitEngage] makes a strong play around its ability to stimulate engagement around innovation challenges, particularly by encouraging employees to develop reputation in the internal innovation space," says the report. "[Mindjet] is looking closely at automating innovation processes, solving a profound problem in decision-making by providing innovation algorithms."
Innovation platforms need to help enterprises execute innovation challenges, collect ideas, and help manage innovation projects, but they also need to provide insight into analytics and even automate the process of innovation. "Ideally the organization needs a coherent approach to innovation, one that allows successes to be replicated and failures to provide lessons for the future, which means the different innovation techniques or priorities need a meeting place or a common basis of understanding."
In this sense, the report notes that, "[Mindjet] is beginning to look future-proofed. It seems to understand that we are now functioning in a transformational environment where speed is key. It is also aware that enterprises need to scale innovation across functions." Mindjet has a "vision for a graph of the internet of things that helps automate innovation."
"Our goal is to make innovation a repeatable process that provides insightful information into what works for the enterprise," said Scott Raskin, Mindjet's CEO. "Our SpigitEngage platform is both dynamic and customizable, giving companies the opportunity to effectively manage innovation and bring the best ideas to the surface."
