HBO's Mike Judge Added to Next TV Summit & Expo Los Angeles Conference Program

Creator of "Silicon Valley" Joins Other Top Industry Thought-Leaders for High-Level Conference

NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 06/12/14 -- Mike Judge, the creator of the television series "Silicon Valley," "Beavis & Butt-Head," and "King of the Hill" and the feature film "Office Space," will be the subject of a keynote Q&A at the Next TV Summit & Expo Los Angeles, taking place at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel on Tuesday, June 24, 2014. Judge's Q&A takes place at 9:45 am, and will be moderated by Broadcasting & Cable Editor-in-Chief Melissa Grego.

Judge has a knack for tapping into the zeitgeist with his programs, which all develop a very devoted and loyal following. His most recent effort, "Silicon Valley," for which he acted as co-creator, executive producer, writer, and director, just finished its first season on HBO and was recently renewed for a second season.

At the Next TV Summit, Judge's discussion will likely include how making programs for television has changed for him since his last one (Fox's "King of the Hill"), as well as details about the creation of "Silicon Valley," including stories behind the stories -- inspiration for characters, themes, and storylines.

"Mike Judge is a true television innovator," stated Louis Hillelson, VP/Group Publisher of Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News. "We have a fantastic lineup of speakers and presenters at this event -- each with a unique view on what the future of television will bring. We are fortunate to have them there to share their ideas with us."

Judge is joined by a prestigious group of keynote presenters at the Next TV Summit, including Ashley MacKenzie, CEO & Founder, Base 79; Mark Greenberg, CEO, EPIX; and Kevin Beggs, Chairman, Lionsgate Television. Both Mackenzie and Beggs will be receiving Next TV Innovation Awards at the event -- Mackenzie for Digital Innovation and Beggs for Content Innovation.

Adding public cloud resources to an existing application can be a daunting process. The tools that you currently use to manage the software and hardware outside the cloud aren’t always the best tools to efficiently grow into the cloud. Due of the rise of Hadoop, many enterprises are now deploying their first small clusters of 10 to 20 servers.
