Newegg announced a partnership at the Internet Retailer Conference in Chicago which will certify Mercent to increase retail product and offer visibility for Newegg Marketplace sellers. The company’s Mercent Retail™ platform creates value and drives profits for major retailers with product ad placements and business intelligence tools that highlight the products, categories, brands, promotions, ads, and channels contributing most to online performance and ROI. Mercent Retail™ brings new merchants to the Newegg platform and delivers product and offer data from retail eCommerce and ERP systems to the Newegg Marketplace. In addition, Mercent collects and forwards Newegg Marketplace orders to warehouse fulfillment management systems.
Mercent Chairman and CEO, Eric Best, commented, “We are pleased to support Newegg Marketplace sellers through our Mercent Retail™ SAAS platform. The company and team are focused on providing leading solutions that ensure large retail brands reach and profitably convert shoppers wherever they are researching and buying online, and expansion to the Newegg Marketplace enables us to reach a new network of merchants.”
Newegg Marketplace is an e-commerce solution that allows third-party merchants, both large and small, to sell products to Newegg’s 25 million loyal customers. Offering one of the lowest commission rates of any major online marketplace, Newegg Marketplace provides a great sales platform and the ability for vendors to leverage marketing components like email, Newegg’s Shell Shocker promotions and Daily Deals.
“Newegg’s partnership with Mercent adds substantial value to Newegg Marketplace,” said Soren Mills, Chief Marketing Officer of Newegg North America. “We’re always looking for ways to enhance the tools at the disposal of our Marketplace businesses and Mercent streamlines the backend data management and metrics important to our third-party sellers.”
